Hello, i have now purchased 3 of the K2636 AC motor controls and have blown the circuit on all 3 somehow. I assemble these kits exactly as instructed and have had them working great. Either due to poor connections at the terminals or other issues i have caused damage tothe kits. When plugging in the last fone, i heard a pop and saw smoke coming from POSSIBLY the triac. Unfortunately it does not seem to be a blown fuse. Would the symptoms of: motor running, but not being controlled by the trim pot…give us any direction as to where the failure is?

The TRIAC needs already to be exchanged, 100% sure.
Even if the fuse isn’t blowed, because the triac is mush faster than the fuse.
