K2579 - Modification possible?

Hi all
I am looking for a way of getting a delayed “on” command to run the fan on an external oil cooler (the fan circuit currently runs from a 12v+ ignition switched live, to a relay that starts the fan).
What I would like to do is to start the fan 2-3 minutes after the ignition is turned on (to remove the fan load from the battery while cranking the engine to start)

Could the K2579 kit be modified to do this? Perhaps by wiring the “on” switch to be permantly on?? Thereofre switching the ignition on, autimatically starting the “count down”?

Would there be a better product to use?

Your thoughts would be appreciated

Mark

Check specs of K8015, maybe there is a delay mode that suits your needs.

Thanks VEL417 - Unless I am mistaken this board still needs to have its switch pressed to activate it. I would like the action of energising the component to commence the countdown

You can bridge the switch.
