1 month age I’ve mounted a K2543 kit in my 40 yr old Saab 99 with D-Jetronic injection system.
The car ran ok after installing.
It has run 10 yrs without problems but now it has broken down; no more ignition and problems with my ECU?;
the electrical fuel pump also quit functioning.
The distributor is a Bosch, type 0231 163 007.
Unfortunately spare-parts are very rare for my car so I’ve difficulties getting it running again.
The injection system has little relation to the ignition system; it only receives a signal for the injection timing;
but I’m wondering what the kit did to the system.
Can it be that some / all my ignition parts (ign.coil, pre-resistance, cables, distributor, rotor, sparkplugs) cannot handle the kit ?
Can I send the kit to Velleman for a (warranty) check ?
