Jewellery Tumbler

I have constructed a tumbler fo my daughter using the k8055 board to control both the time and direction of rotation. I now want to makthe unit operate as standalone unit. I notice that you have an inteval timer kit (K2579) and I was wondering if it could be modified. Ideally I would like the motor to rotate in one direction and then change to the other direction for for equal time periods say every15-30 minutes. I notice the relay has two states B and C which could drive an L293 chip which I have used already used via your board.

Does the kit work on a cyclic basis or is it a single operation and can the timer be altered to provide two variable periods say up to up two 30 miutes in each direction. The alternative is to build a separate timer circuit with a simple two pole relay.

You need a looping circuit with adjustable pulse/pause timers.
The output of this circuit needs to drive a DPDT relay, which changes the polarity of the DC motor.
K2579 is a start/stop timers, this is not suited.
K8015 or VM188 are suitable timers.
