Information please

hi,

where do i find out information like how much currunt can go through my chip. i need to know if a stepper motor can be run straight from a pic16f627 chip.

its about 25ma from a PIC16F627, but if you put it through a transistor, you can get basically as much power as you want, 1 amp reasonably easily.
