Hello,
I have an HPS5 that I use while on the road making service calls.
I keep it in the soft blue case it was shipped with.
Despite setting the ‘auto off’ function (or at least thinking I’ve properly set it), I often open the case to find a completely dead unit…pressure on the outside has activated the ‘on’ button, and completely depleted the batteries.
I end up replacing the batteries every few days…if it is unused, turned off, and not ‘bumped’ on, the batteries naturally last months. It’s clearly getting turned on while being jostled about, and staying on until the batteries depelete.
Is there some way this horrible waste of batteries can be avoided? I have reverted to occasionally removing ONE battery and leaving it rolling around in the soft case, but that certainly is not convenient when a quick measurement is taken.
Help!!! Nice product, otherwise.
