Hallo,
my namen is Maurizio and I have bought a HPS10 Oscilloscope that I used just few times but about two years ago.
Now without any reason it does not read any wave (I just need it to give me the confirmation of signal nothing mor for testing my audico projects…) and gives me always the same signal (a sinusiodal wave with some noise…).
I tested it with the internal tester and it work it reads the squared wave but ONLY in this case!..
I tried to change also the terminal with a normal cable but the signal is always the same.
I live in Rome and I don’t know anybody could fix it.
I could try to do it myself (as first option…) but I was not able to open the unit (there is a sort of lock after you take out all the 3 screws that I could not understan ow to unlock…)
Today I did successfully the calibration test that I have found on the link velleman.eu/images/tmp/HPS10%20TD%20V1.1.pdf but still remains the problem.
I checked the ground and it seems ok.
I don’t know what else I could try…
The last option is to ship it to you directly (I tried to talk with Futura elettronica your italian distributor but they didn’t care about me becouse I have bought it on ebay from a US distributor).
To ship it to US will cost more then buying a new one so the only reasonable action I can do is shipping the unit directly to you.
By the way I take a lot of care to all my electronic equipment and I really used it at most 5 times always with attention and care so really it is very strange a product like this that should be used for professional needs got such a problem in so little use…
Hi Maurizio, if you yet not dispatch your scope to Velleman, you can try solve this problem yourself. I had analogic problem. Read, please, post from AC_DC <HPS doesn’t show input signal>
