This is 7cms wide. So will only accomodate 5 batteries of diameter 1.4cms or less. This will allow 5 AA Uniross batteries but will exclude most (all?) maplin rechargeable batteries. Has anyone else come across this problem? Is the width of the HPS140 battery compartment known?
HPS10 enclosure was designed back in 1997, when rechargeable batteries still complied to the standard.
Nowerdays, capacity has increased, and so has the size, which causes some types not to fit anymore.
Basically, most 1500mAh batteries still fit, larger types don’t always fit.
