Help with setting up k4001

I have try my new kit(k4001) and it works fine with a speaker, but I am trying to set up a loop for my hearing aid. I have gone by a design on the net.

google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j& … 48szGfwjCQ

my first loop was something like 13 ohm, the second one is 4 ohm, I have try both and I can not hear anything unless I get right on top of the loop. the wire I am using is solid wire from the BT phone cable and have made a 17 induction loop.

can any one help I have place the loop on to the speaker of the k4001 kit any help…? thanks

I don’t understand how that person makes a loop. There is no real enclosed space when I look at his cables. Also using ethernet cable with twisted pairs for creating an inductive loop? Don’t know. Besides that: don’t use STP of FTP cables then because these are shielded …
Apart from that: most loop amplifiers I know are far more powerfull then the K4001 … they put AMPS on the cable, not that max. 0.5 A of the K4001.
Please experiment to find the error.

that is may be why I am not getting any were with this project. even afterward I was thinking to my self that something was not right with his/her loop they made.

so if I was to use a Vintage JVC A-S3 Integrated amplifier would that work, with out blowing the main amp.

As long as you respect the 8 or 4 ohms (depending on the amplifier), this should be no problem

Loop amplifiers are designed to handle very low impedances, in the range less than 1 ohm.
Like Laserguy said, you require many amps to make it work. The K4001 is simply not powerfull enough.
At this time, we do not carry an item that is suited for such purposes.
