Handheld oscillo HPS140 dropped off the Velleman catalog?

Salut Hello,

I’ts only 5 days ago that I bought my HPS140 with Maplin (Boucher Road, Belfast) and it’s only today that I realize that it is no longer listed on the latest Velleman catalog online. I got it at a reduced price of £79.99. Putting it together: HPS140 absent of the list and offered by Maplin at an incredible price, I begin to … worry!

I am an engineer in electronics and, of course, I own several professional oscilloscopes (I have a passion for them!), I was and still am impressed by the HPS140, so many intelligent features in such a lovely “thingy”, hardly bigger than a pack of (lethal!) fags. So, doctor, please tell me what killed the baby: did not sell too well/problem(s) with sourcing components/too many returns? and, ultimately, will I live happily for ever after with my Ferrari, my wife and my HPS140?

Dear sir,

The HPS140 is just a new scope, so he’s not obsolete !

There are 2 versions: HPS140 and HPS140i (with included probe)

Good evening VEL456 and WRONG WAY,

Thanks for your replies.

Looking for specific velleman kits, I went on www.vellemanprojects.eu/distributor/webfolders and leafed the “Instruments & Modules Catalogue” and I noticed that in this catalologue (valid until 01/07/11) there is no mention at all of the HPS140. Then, on a e-mail/newsletter from Maplin this scope was at a slashed price. I naturally began to wonder…

I am now happily reassured on the destiny of th HPS140

The HPS140 is still hot and even has its own website
