I’m considering buying the K8095 MP3 player kit along with the IR receiver and LCD screen. I would like to connect a suitable amp, say the K4005B to either drive 4ohm or 8 ohm speakers.
Firstly, are there any compatibility issues / problems with the above combination?
What is more advisable? 2 x 100W, 4Ω or 2 x 75W, 8Ω?
Once I’ve decided I need to source a suitable power supply for the right combination.
Once decided, is it better to get speakers rated at max output from the amp or should I side on the iar of caution and go for lower rating?

It is simple, low cost, straightforward, robust and sounds very good.[/quote]
Fair enough, but there money be a reason why the K4005B is so much more expensive. Money isn’t an option here.

What about the K8081? I see mainly for active speaker use

Ok, so what you are saying is I need two amps, one for each speaker and two transformers?
