I’m looking for a a front sticker of the velleman k4020. I have one, but I really like to have a nice mint condition one.
The past owner…of who i’ve got this…i think he never got this beautifull amp working. But the front plate sticker is really screwed. Poeple should take care of there things.
I sended an emai to velleman but they cant’t help me. Is there anyone in this world who can offer me this “sticker”.
I’m a little bit dissapointed that i can’t receive this from “Velleman”. I put my pictures on forums: Active member in Circuitsonline & Audiofreaks.
I really hope "Velleman can offer me a front plate with the original Velleman logo.
This kit is obsolete for years now and Velleman normally has a sufficient stock of spare parts. But if this stock is also empty, they really can’t deliver it to you. Normally they will print a few thousands of them and then price is good. For one piece it is impossible to print because prices would be way too high.
Sorry, this amp has been obsolete since 2003.
Regarding the front panel: Unfortunately we have zero stock.
The good news is that we are still able to service the amp, as all electronic parts are still available.
The only thing I needed to do was changing 1 transistor and 2 mosfets.
It is working now, but I need to be sure this nice peace of amplifier don’t oscillate. I have soms spare IRFP’s but don’t wont those to be needed.
This weekend I’m gonna do some measurements wehter or not this amp goes into oscillation.
I see that there has been some updates after the first schematic. (more condensators).
Ik have rev. 2. And the manual on the site shows a few more condensators.
Also the IRFP mosfets are not all correct in the scheme publicated on the site.
But a beautifull amplifier!!! I’m a happy owner of this kit. It is a beast
Hey. So glad to see that I’m not the only one with this issue.
I’ve had my K4020 since new. I got it about 18 years ago and it has functioned absolutely perfectly from day one.
The front panel sticker is an issue though as mine has degraded from old age despite being kept indoors it’s whole life.
It’s just peeling away and is fading at the corners.
A solution that I’m considering is cutting out the parts with the numerical markings for the LED meters, sticking them over them and then getting a piece of black perspex cut out into a shape that would accommodate the power switch and LED meters.
