Filament jam, stuck in isolator

Check the parameters in the Cura configuration (Filament tab). Last 3 lines should read 100/100/10.

I always managed to remove blockages mechanically. I never experienced a blockage of the actual nozzle, mostly it’s just above in the ptfe tube that molten filament piles up. You can disassemble the nozzle from the isolator and push the blockage thru with a short piece of filament and pliers.

one other technique (less time consuming) that works for me after a blockage:

  • heat nozzle to about 10° higher than normal filament temperature
  • pull back the feed tube a bit via the tube fitting on the hotend about a centimeter and cut the filament. You can pull back the feed tube and there’s a piece of filament sticking out of the hotend tube fitting
  • with a pair of pliers you can apply great downwards force on the piece of filament sticking out of the heated hotend, and normally the nozzle starts ‘extruding’. Do this untill there’s normal backforce on the filament being pushed thru.
  • connect the feedtube and extrude at least ~6cm of filament (via repetier host) so there’s now one continuous filament feeding the hotend.
