Question to Moderator: I need a frequency generator like PCGU 1000. I think about buying instead the PCSGU 250, simply to have more possibilities for less money.
I want to use the generator for testing frequencies in medical area (20Hz - 20.000 Hz). I need to know, wheather the Generator part of the PCSGU 250 can be used for this task or wheather there are critically differences to the PCGU 1000:
Has the PCSGU 250 an own power supply or takes it the energy from USB?
Is the Unit optically isolated like the PCGU 1000?
Are there some other importent differences so that it would be better to buy only the PCGU 1000?
Thank you
Oldtimer
Has the PCSGU 250 an own power supply or takes it the energy from USB?
There is no own power supply - energy is taken from USB.
Is the Unit optically isolated like the PCGU 1000?
No.
Are there some other importent differences so that it would be better to buy only the PCGU 1000?
The frequency range of the PCGU1000 is wider. But if only 20Hz - 20.000Hz is needed, then this has no importance.
