Can I modify a MK111 to run on 6 volts?

Hi,

I’m working on a project that runs on 4AA batteries (6 volts). I want to buy/make/modify an intermittent timer so that my little motor will run an adjustable couple seconds on and a couple seconds off.

Can I simply change out the 12 volt relay on a MK111 for a 6 volt relay and make it happen?

Got any internet links to somebody else that has done a similar project? I have looked pretty hard and not found one yet.

Remove 12V relay and check if circuit still runs reliable on 6V (watch the led).
Next, you can replace the relay with a 6V type.
