Hi,
I recently bought an 8076’1, preassembled, I get the red LED lit constantly when the serial cable is connected (don’t know wether this is normal or not, as the manual is extremely rudimentary). But when I try the steps of the “Quick Guide”, I cannot get the yellow LED’s to light, when I click on them in PicProg2006. It also says that “There is no Velleman programmer connected to the PC” when I try to read or write to a PIC. It is connected. I have only one serial port, and it’s the one selected in the program… Has anybody else experienced this problem? Does anybody know of a way to fix this problem? Is my programmer broken?
I have try to deactivate the FIFO buffer, change from 9600b to 128000 (but not between) in the COM port properties; slow down in function->hardware configuration->Hardware delay(10) and install picprog2009 just in case …
Other test to do ??
When I open picprog200x i see the 2 yellow led blinking (just once) and same when I click on hardware connection button on the main pannel …
There could be a cable problem.
Customer that send there kit to us for repair include many times a wrong cable.
Check again that all 9 pin’s are connected and connected “pin to pin” 1 -> 1, 2 -> 2,…
