Dear Velleman Components N.V.
We are looking for an inexpensive method to acquire signal from a chromatographic UV-Vis detector, in our chemistry laboratory. It is an ancient HPLC instrument, work well and useful for students.
The are two output with 0 up to 1.5V, DC, single ended, refer to ground, and your K8047 is enough fast for this (we normally acquire from 20 to 50 points in one second).
The only problem is the resolution, 10 bits are near adequate for our purposes, most of the ADC connected to detector working with 12-bit.
But yours can be useful for teaching, to study the variation of gain (R24 and R28 I think), and try it with students, to design the schematic on blackboard, etc. .
The questions are:
There is a model with 10 bit?
Or, can you change the PIC with one other and obtain 10 or 12 bit of
resolution?
After modify your software works in the same manner?
Sorry, we are chemists, not programmers or electronic engineers.
Thanks a lot
